First post

This is just a first test post for this blog which I have set up in order to keep people up to date with what I am doing when I go travelling at the end of January.

The plan is that I will use this blog while i am away because it will be easier (not to mention cheaper) to keep everyone informed of what I am doing this way rather than by telephone.
